So follow our laundry tips to help you get that perfectly clean look, smell, and feel when you take your clothes out of the washing machine.
How much to dose
It’s important to know how to dose liquid detergent correctly, since each load may be different. The amount of detergent you’ll need to use will vary based on the:
- Size of the load.
- Soiling and dirt level.
- Type of washing machine.
- Water hardness.
Be careful not to use too much liquid detergent, as this can leave you with clothes that feel soapy or sticky or a washing machine that smells musty.
Of course, you won’t want to use too little detergent either. Read on to find out how you can get the dosage right, for the best laundry results with Ariel.
How to dose
You can use your washing detergent cap as a dosing device. Just fill it as per the instructions on the pack. If your garment is heavily stained, pour on the tough stain before otherwise just pour the laundry detergent into the drawer of your washing machine. Make sure you get the dose right for your fully-automatic washing machine, generally:
- A front load fully-automatic washing machine needs 45 ml of liquid.
- A top load fully-automatic washing machines need 60 ml of liquid.
Ariel Matic Concentrate Liquid Detergent is only suitable for fully-automatic washing machines. If you have a semi-automatic washing machine, use one of our powder detergents, which are designed for semi-automatic washing machines and hand washing.
How to wash
For the best results, always check the fabric care labels on your garments. These labels tell you how it’s best to wash each item, including at what temperature. Separate your items into whites, darks and colours, and delicates, as these each need to be washed separately.
Load your dirty laundry before dosing Ariel laundry detergent. Make sure not to overload the machine by using the palm trick. Just place your palm at the top of your drum, above your laundry. If your hand doesn’t fit, remove items until it does.
If you want to clean and lift tough stains from your garments, you’ll want to use a liquid detergent. Simply follow these laundry steps to get the most out of your liquid detergent:
- Wash similar colours together. Make sure you separate whites from colours and wash each load appropriately.
- Do not overfill your machine.
- Select the appropriate wash cycle, based on the garments’ fabric care label.
- Close the bottle after use, and place out of the reach of children.
