Mould stains are not only disgusting in both appearance and smell, they’re also very tough to take out from clothes. To remove mould stains and eliminate that horrid mildew smell effectively, you’ll need a detergent with special enzymes. Forget soaking your clothes in vinegar and stinking the house out: Ariel knows how to remove mould stains in the 1st go. Watch our step by step video guide on how to get rid of mould stains from clothing, or read the instructions below.
First, run the garment under hot running water to remove any excess mould from the fabric. The higher the water pressure, the easier it will be to remove any excess.
Prepare a Soaking Solution
Getting mould stains out of your clothes starts with pre-treating the stained garment. Fill a sink or bucket with warm water and add half a scoop of Ariel Washing Powder. Mix the solution by hand until the detergent is completely dissolved.
Add your mould stained garments to the solution and leave to soak for an hour. If the stained garment keeps floating to the top, place a white towel on top of it to keep it fully immersed in the soaking solution.
Preparing for wash
Gently wring out the excess water before adding it to your wash with similar items.
Add detergent based on the instructions on your pack. Use a high-quality laundry detergent such as Ariel Matic, available for both front load and top load fully automatic washing machines.
Load your garment into the washing machine with other, similar items and wash on your usual cycle, at the highest temperature shown on the care label.
Then, when the wash cycle is over, simply remove the items and you’re ready to go.
